Ziggy flies his DamselBot

All constructed in Blender, this small test scene includes Ziggy, a fully rigged spider, as well as the fully rigged robotic interpretation of a Damselfly. The wing flex and motion tries to mimic the real thing, albeit a little slowed down so we can see what's happening.

The rocks and plants are from Poliigon and Botaniq respectively.

A still from a different angle shows details on the models. Realism for me is more important than "coolness".

In my story, Ziggy designs and builds this robotic insect to get around and perform tasks spiders can't usually do.
