Wilkhahn FS Management Executive chair build and animation

If you browse around my uploads you will see I have this ongoing project of a virtual gallery cum office/studio in a virtual reconstruction of my town's old high street. My chair will be included in the studio.

This spec ad is mainly a means of highlighting the chair model and ensuring it works as its meant to.

The five star base is rigged with physics so the castors respond correctly to the movement across the floor.

The animation includes particle systems, volumetric lighting, FK/IK bone and bendy bone rigging, animation drivers, mesh deformation and rigid body physics, all in one scene.

I enjoyed replicating the details of the zipper and stitching, as well as the fabric label you can see here.

I had enormous fun with all the different types of light, from sparkling glitter, animated fairy light, the moonbeam rays, the torch light, flourescent tubes and spotlights, as well as the range of reflection types.

I used an engineering caliper to ensure accuracy to within a fraction of a millimetre on most components.
