Inside The Robot Elbow...

The office scene in my Ziggy animation includes the Robot Arm, a fully rigged model that operates at quite a high level of detail. I recently saw a competition about capturing the feel of macro photography in 3D, and I decided to render this little sequence of the circuitry inside the Robot Arm's forearm at the elbow end.

While it might seem like insanity to build the office scene at such a high level of detail, the production is about Ziggy the "spider", and the LOD allows me to use the mega scene for a large number of shots in his journey.
