Finally after eight months my fully rigged Robot Arm is ready for use! So I'm really excited. It is definitely the most complex thing I have ever built in 3D. Capable of subtleties of hand position rivalling that of our own hands. It comprises over 7,400 objects, including 14 different armatures, some with FK-IK, 2 planetary reduction gear systems, over 50 actuators and a chain and sprocket drive.
Once I have built the rest of the scene it is part of, I will render a number of close up sequences so that much of what I have made here will become visible.
