Practical design for speaker stands to be built from easily available parts, modelled in Blender.

I recently built myself a large new workstation in my lounge for my Blender, music production and other PC work.I needed tall desktop stands for my audio monitors, couldn't find any suitable so decided to build my own from bits I can find on-line.

The tops will swivel and tilt. I modelled each component to scale from the images and dimensions from the vendors' ads. This has allowed me to cost the project to the penny.

I had to extend the size of the base to provider a stable unit. The steel plate I chose is available for under £10. Having one made the size I want will have cost me £78! Extending the feet added to the design and cost a fraction as much.
